Big News!

Uhle’s has some big news for its smoking faithful:  Jim Steinbock, former co-owner of Uhle Tobacco Company, retired August 31st, 2006.  Jim saw Uhle’s through a successful 24 years, bustling through the cigar boom of the nineties, and fighting the ongoing battle against a citywide smoking ban here in Milwaukee.  With quite a few Milwaukee winters under his belt, Jim hopes to enjoy retirement in warmer climates. 

Jeff Steinbock has stepped up as owner of Uhle Tobacco Company.  A former co-owner with Jim, Jeff is eager to continue the Uhle’s legacy in the years to come.

 So let’s all raise our cigars, pipes, or cigarettes in celebration of past friendships, present accomplishments, and a future as bright as the fires we create.

 Perhaps the proper celebratory cigar would be the new Ashton ESG (Estate Sun Grown).  Look for the eye-catching box amongst its sibling Ashtons.
